Pras has $10M watch collection but won’t pay child support

Ex-Fugees member Prakazrel “Pras” Michel has a watch collection worth $10 million but he still hasn’t paid over $127,000 in child support in the last year, he said in court Friday.

Michel, 47, admitted the worth of his luxury watch collection while he was testifying in Manhattan Family Court about how he fell behind on child support payments to ex Angela Severiano, 43, for their son Landon after he was criminally charged by the feds.

“This last year has been a very tough year for me and I have hit the back of the wall,” Michel — who was representing himself in court — told the judge.

Severiano’s lawyer, Robert Wallack, probed the “Ghetto Superstar” rapper about his Instagram account that has photos of him in a Lamborghini he once leased, wearing the pricey timepieces and rubbing elbows with other celebs.

Michel stopped paying his $4,800 monthly payments to Severiano in November 2018 and now owes her over $127,000 in arrears, Severiano testified in court Friday.

Michel admitted to owning several watches he wore in Instagram photos including an Audemars Piguet watch and a limited edition Patek Philippe watch worth around $260,000.

He said the insurance to cover his watch collection cost so much money that he opted to keep the watches in a safety deposit box at two banks rather than continuing to insure them.

“We decided it was too much [insurance] to be paying for those watches. We are talking about $10 million in watches. I put them in a safety deposit at the bank until we sorted it out with an insurance company,” Michel said.

Wallack also asked Michel if he withdrew $1.8 million from a bank account for one of his businesses between October of 2018 and September of 2019.

“I’m not sure,” Michel said while looking at the bank statements and canceled checks for the account.

Earlier in the hearing, Michel told the judge that he fell behind on the payments because the feds seized $74 million of his money when they brought the criminal charges against him and he explained that he lost over $20 million more when his crooked money manager got locked up.

“I want to apologize to Angela and my son,” Michel said adding that he is making an application to have the feds unfreeze enough money for him to get up-to-date on his child support. “I want to rectify this ASAP.”

Michel was criminally charged for allegedly working with fugitive Malaysian playboy Jho Low in a campaign-finance scheme tied to President Obama’s 2012 re-election.

A federal civil case also accused Michel of conspiring with an ex-DOJ official to thwart the US probe into Low.

Michel lost a bid to have the child support payments lowered earlier this month. And Severiano filed her own case against him to recoup the unpaid money.

The hearing will continue Feb. 10.
